Santa Cruz Beach Soccer Club: Board of Directors

Yuri Morales, President

Yuri Morales is a member of the US Beach Soccer National team. Morales grew up in Santa Cruz, California where he played youth club soccer and played soccer at Harbor High School. He went on to play 4 years of NCAA Division 1 soccer at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and graduated with a degree in Sport Management. After college, Morales played professional soccer in Brazil and Denmark before returning to play in the US.

 

Brendon Taguinod, Technical Director

Brendon Taguinod is a member of the US Beach Soccer National team and is a nationally ranked Footvolley player. Taguinod played college soccer for the University of California at Santa Cruz where he holds the UCSC record for most career assists and led his team to the NCAA Tournament in 2000 and 2001.  He went on to play professionally with the Chico Rooks and the Indiana Invaders of the United Soccer Leagues PDL.

 

Carlos Izquierdo, Director of Coaching

Carlos Izquierdo is a High School teacher and Girls Varsity Soccer Coach at MACSA Charter High School in San Jose, California. Izquierdo has over 10 years of coaching experience spanning from the competitive arena of high school coaching to recreational camps. At MACSA, he developed a comprehensive soccer program, coaching the two boys and girls teams, and was instrumental in MACSA's acceptance into the Central Coast Section Championships for the first time in their history. Before MACSA, Izquierdo was a Coach and Director at Kidz Love Soccer - South Bay.
