July 26, 2010 -- The SBSL season ended on a high note for Yuri Morales and Brendon Taguinod, while BST Zurich advanced to the final stage of the league. The American beach stars successfully concluded their first season in the SBSL with 4 wins over the league's top teams to help Team Zurich clinch a spot in the SBSL finals to be played in Zurich's Main Station on August 7 & 8. Taguinod and Morales will not be available for the finals since they have been called in to the US Beach Soccer National Team to play in the Mundialito tournament in Portimao, Portugal that same weekend. Morales scored 35 goals in 12 games for BST Zurich to match the SBSL single-season goal scoring record. Brendon Taguinod finished the season with 9 goals, many assists, and consistently solid defensive play. In an exclusive interview with SantaCruzBeachSoccer.com, Morales said, "I owe all of my success here to my teammates and to the BST Zurich club. The team did everything to make us feel comfortable and I am happy to have been able to repay them by helping the team win games. It was a great experience."
